Rural Power Supply

In May 2025, we worked in partnership with SSE to deliver a full mains changeover and supply upgrade for a rural property with growing electrical demands. The existing supply was no longer suitable, so the project focused on increasing capacity, improving reliability, and ensuring the property was ready for future use, all while meeting strict network specifications and deadlines.

We managed the full design and preparation phase, including coordinating a 100-metre trench route to SSE requirements, installing compliant ducting, and ensuring the site was ready ahead of the utility works. Once the new supply was installed, we carried out a seamless changeover to the upgraded mains, installing a new mains distribution unit, submains for the house, plant room and future outbuilding, and two EV chargers. The result is a modern, resilient electrical infrastructure that supports higher demand, allows for future expansion, and gives the owner confidence that their property’s power supply won’t limit future plans.
